The 2026 Guide to Ontario Digital Grants
The Federal Shift

If you’ve been searching for the "Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP)" lately, you’ve likely hit a dead end. As of April 2026, the federal CDAP program is officially closed, leaving many Ontario SMEs wondering where to turn for digital transformation funding.
The good news? The landscape has shifted from broad federal grants to highly targeted provincial and regional initiatives. At Ontario Digital Academy, we’ve mapped out the top three opportunities available to you this month.
1. Digital Main Street (DMS) – The $2,500 Transformation Grant
For brick-and-mortar businesses in Ontario, the Digital Transformation Grant (DTG) remains the gold standard.
What it covers:SEO, social media advertising, and adopting new POS systems to manage inventory.
The ODA Edge:We help you navigate the "Digital Service Squad" requirements to ensure your application is approved on the first try.
2. The Digitalization Competence Centre (DCC)
Led by the Ontario Centre of Innovation, the DCC is the 2026 powerhouse for SMEs looking to modernize.
The Focus:This program specifically targets productivity and cybersecurity. If you are a manufacturer or retailer in the GTA looking to implement AI-driven ERP systems or harden your cyber defenses, this is your primary funding source.
Status:Active and accepting applications for the Digital Modernization Adoption Program (DMAP).
3. Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG)
Technology is only as good as the people running it. The COJG provides up to $10,000 per person in training costs.
The Catch:You must contribute a portion of the costs, but the government covers up to 60% to 100% depending on your business size and hiring status.
Best For:Upskilling your team in AI Literacy through our ODA Labs.
